October news, hope everyone is in fine fettle!
Business is a mare but we are winning, decision-making has become more focused, timing is everything, trying our best to come in first, fast out of the gate.
The CREATE designers show in Paris was a success and now pressing in for Spring/Summer at ComoCrea, which is just down the track, October 19th 20th.
We had visitors from all over the world at CREATE, the show was busy even though fell on a UK bank holiday. We must follow the Gods of the Paris fashion calendar. There will be a change in January 27, when CREATE will be held earlier than usual on Sun 24th, Mon 25th in the ballrooms of Crowne Plaza République Hotel. (Just a 10-minute walk away) we will return to Gallerie Joseph in September 2027.

For those who’ve not yet attended ComoCrea* it is a fabulous show held at the elegant Villa Erba on shores of Lake Como. Many international buyers visit. Focus is Spring Summer and swim, we will also include the latest roundup for fall. Our regular customers know most of our designers include an alternative season colorway shown small scale on the back of the swatch. It’s fun to do this. As often we have made another loved colour option, so it’s good to include extra benefit.
Been to some amazing exhibitions in London recently. The Schiaparelli is breathtaking and gorgeous. “Fashion becomes Art” closes mid-November and is wonderful.
Still time for Anish Kapoor at the Hayward Gallery with mind-bendingly inspiring sculpture.
Frida Kahlo at the Tate Modern is on till Jan 27, I didn’t love this but maybe I was having a bad day, not enough of her own painting in there, in my view, I’m a sucker for her only, and not the fandom.
Next up is “the 90’s” Edward Enninful’s curation of photography at Tate Britain, lucky to live in London.

We are reining in our range of influences for the next collection; only clue I can give is that there might be a few ponies in there, whether they are barrel racing or circus dancing, or just a flavour of something equestrian, hope that our unique work will capture your imagination, please come see or get in touch for a Zoom meeting when you’re ready.
Back the right horse with Design Union : )
All the very best, Xx Eileen and the team
*For Como /Cernobbio I find that Malpensa is best access airport and geographically closer. Linate is also an option. If anyone needs local knowledge just let us know. It’s our second home. We know all the good spots.
