We spotted this fab print made by a very young designer Gabriella Ridley who graduated from Chelsea College of Art.
Gabby made some amazing collages for a final collection degree show that were absolutely beautiful and intriguing, they completely caught my eye. I helped her format these into a series of designs which we then sold at Design Union during the Create Show in Paris last year.
The image is one of the resulting “prints in store”. The company used it on many different silhouettes, including a fab print pleat skirt, jumpsuit and dress.
It is true that we don’t have time to follow up on searching for our designs in production. When we do, boom, we find so many. It’s such a treat when we spot our prints in store, I would look more often, if only there were more hours in the day. When we spotted this one, we saw another dozen at least.
A great affirmation to see Design Union artwork used in such a cool collection, exactly as we made it.
