Dear Friends and Clients, hope everyone is doing good!
Just back from a month work holiday in Cambodia. I gifted myself an art sabbatical, lucky me, was excellent to have time to paint and really get into the flow.

We did the islands and a bit of beach luxury but spent most of the time in Siem Reap, found a fab hotel with space enough and an empty rooftop balcony opposite, so set up my studio with parasols and got cracking, hopefully you’ll love this spring/summer which I will present toward the end of January.
The hotel in Siem had a lovely house dog called Seiko, golden Labrador, gentle soul, which helped enormously as we lost our lovely doggy Chief this year in June. And I realise that I I’ve been a little quiet since then. Chief was the special one, broken hearts we still get caught out most days. Seiko the labrador by my side as I was working there helped a great deal.
Cambodia is a deeply inspiring place in so many ways: visually, spiritually, people are amazingly kind. Getting out of the UK in November divine.
Themes include draped placed stripes, neat summer hound’s tooth and argyle, collage à la Cecil Touchon. Iconic print classics, inspired by doyenne Delaunay, guru Girard, fun poster art messaging of Cyrk. Contrasting materialism surface textures, natural smushing and staining of nature. Florals are an interesting challenge to make new with gunpowder explosions and pretty distortions.
We went to the Serpentine gallery before our studio Xmas party to see Peter Doig House of Music, uplifting beautiful resonant colour and sound deep and layered.
